It is an immense pleasure to invite you to attend the 19th World Congress of Biological Psychiatry, taking place at the Prague Congress Center from 18 – 20 August 2027.

Building on the energy and success of our 2026 World Congress, we come to Prague at an exciting moment for biological psychiatry. Our theme, “The Next Era of Biological Psychiatry: Precision, Prediction and Prevention,” captures this ambition. How can we move beyond averages to understand individual variation? Can we better predict risk, illness trajectories and treatment response? And can deeper understanding of mechanisms allow us to intervene earlier at scale – or ultimately prevent illness before it becomes established? These questions demand more than technological innovation. They require rigorous science, diverse populations, new partnerships across disciplines and countries, and a continued focus on what matters most-improving the lives of people affected by mental illness.

Prague 2027 will bring together established leaders and the next generation of scientists and clinicians from across the world to share discoveries, challenge assumptions, forge collaborations and help shape where our field goes next. And Prague – with its extraordinary history, intellectual tradition and capacity to bring old and new together – is a fitting place to imagine that future. I warmly invite you to join us in Prague as, together, we shape the next era of biological psychiatry.
